This Summer I wanted to challenge myself (like having a 5 year old home all day begging to go to the pool and getting my work done isn’t enough of a challenge), to do MORE. I seem to have hit a ceiling… with traffic and reach, and wanted to really do some things that would push me to the next level. I’m blogging about all the things I’m doing over at Internet Marketing for Mommies… every Tuesday and Thursday. My main goal is to meet new people, both readers and especially other bloggers in my field, and to create new relationships and grow my community.
One way I have decided to challenge myself to do this is with interviews. While the challenge is really being described and written about on my other site, I’d like to actually have it playing out here… which is why I’ve decided to post the interviews here. Each Wednesday I’ll be posting a new interview with a blogger I admire and want to learn from. 🙂 (you do know that’s the bonus of doing interviews right?! You get to ask people all the questions you always wanted to know, and learn from them!)
This first interview in the Time to Shine challenge is Amanda Morgan of NotJustCute.com. I am a huge fan of her site. I love to do things with Hanna that are more than just “busy work”… however, I didn’t go to school for child development… I don’t know how all the things we do really affect her BUT… Amanda does. 🙂 She can truly explain all the nuances of an activity ~ fine motor control, what it may do for the brain ~ it’s very awesome. So, as you can tell, I am very excited to talk to her.
In addition to writing fantastic content she’s grown a large community and a successful blog in 18 months! That’s what I’m talking about! So, we’re going to dive and find out exactly how she’s done it!
I must admit though… I’m still trying to get a grip on having a pool begging 5 year old home with me all day. The day we recorded this interview Hanna had actually talked me into taking her to the pool. We were half way there (and 3 minutes until interview time) when I remembered I was supposed to be home working. EEK. So if I sound a little winded or a little more crazy than usual… that’s why. I was FREAKING out. 🙂
So without further ado… here is my interview with Amanda Morgan of NotJustCute.com.

Thanks so much for having me, Jackie. I really enjoyed talking with you. (And I’m glad you and Hanna finally made it to the pool! :0)
