100 Days of Real Food ~ Using the Media to Build Your Blog

100 Days of Real Food ~ Using the Media to Build Your Blog

I recently came across this website called 100 Days of Real Food. I was immediately drawn in by the header, and the content, and the fact this Mom is so similar to me. I dug around the website for a while, reading her posts and stories of her and her family’s journey to eating real food. Then I clicked on her sponsorship page and saw the stats on her blog growth and KNEW I had to talk to her. In just over a year she’s taken a brand spankin’ new blog and created a huge community (over 10K Facebook friends, and an average of 90 comments on blog posts) and killer traffic (210K + monthly). Now that is what I’m talking about!! I had to find out what her secret is, and of course ask a few questions and get a little excited about eating real food....

Life Your Way an Interview with Mandi Ehman

Life Your Way an Interview with Mandi Ehman

This week I am thrilled to share with you my conversation with Mandi Ehman from Life… Your Way, and all the other “your way” channels. There are so many things I love about her site ~ especially that she had the courage and insight to create an entire network of sites to keep the site topics clear and separate. (I would love to do that… but don’t think I have the courage!). Anyway… Mandi and I talk about how  and why she set up the network. How she got contributors ~ and how she keeps them. As well as how she got her traffic levels to point they are now, and how she keeps them growing. She has some very unique and creative ways to connect with other bloggers ~ to create connections and opportunities for growth. I’m...

Cooking With Kids an Interview with Michelle Stern

Cooking With Kids an Interview with Michelle Stern

As you know healthy eating and cooking with kids is a passion of mine. I am delighted to have the privilege of speaking with Michelle Stern from What’s Cooking with Kids. While most of the bloggers I’ve interviewed thus far monetize straight from their website, Michelle is a little bit different. She offers classes, and birthday parties, and all kinds of hands on time to help kids learn to love to cook. It’s quite fantastic! In this interview we talk about how the blog started, how she set up classes and parties. We’re also going to talk about finding sponsors as well as how she got her book deal. If you aren’t familiar with her book The Whole Family Cookbook you should race right out and get it (better yet, just click that link and...

Laura From OrgJunkie.com [Interview]

Today I’m interviewing (really just having a great conversation with) Laura from OrgJunkie.com I must admit, I was really excited to talk to Laura. She’s the reason I now do meal planning, and I admire the things she does on her blog, and the business she’s built. I was thrilled to have some time to ask her some questions (lots of questions) Without further ado… here’s our wonderful conversation [powerpress]   Here’s some of the biggest takeaways I got from our conversation. 1. Do something you’re passionate about… share your passion with the world. 2. Always go for value first… how you can help your reader and make life easier for them 3. Consistent, dependable action over time breeds results....

Interview: Amanda Morgan of NotJustCute.com

This Summer I wanted to challenge myself (like having a 5 year old home all day begging to go to the pool and getting my work done isn’t enough of a challenge), to do MORE. I seem to have hit a ceiling… with traffic and reach, and wanted to really do some things that would push me to the next level. I’m blogging about all the things I’m doing over at Internet Marketing for Mommies… every Tuesday and Thursday. My main goal is to meet new people, both readers and especially other bloggers in my field, and to create new relationships and grow my community. One way I have decided to challenge myself to do this is with interviews. While the challenge is really being described and written about on my other site, I’d like to actually...
