My daughter is turning 10 tomorrow! The Big 1.0. I’m a little bit in shock. Anyway, for her party this year she requested begged to have a slumber party with a few of her friends. We finally agreed, and set about finding some amazing snack ideas for her slumber party. Here’s what we came up with… I’ve divided the ideas into salty snack ideas, and sweet snack ideas… we’re going mostly with salty, savory snacks, but I wanted to help you out if you were going the sweet route too. 🙂
Salty Snack Ideas
Microwave Chex Mix. I didn’t believe this could really work in the microwave, but it totally does. So quick and easy and tastes just like the oven baked recipe!
Italian Brown Paper Bag Popcorn. This is a super simple snack idea, and could be easily modified to fit the taste of different party guests.
Black Bean Hummus Taco Dip. Looking for something healthy to dip those chips in? This is it!
Homemade Microwave Popcorn (5 Ways). I love how popcorn is not just popcorn anymore! You can do things as exciting as curry popcorn, and spinach artichoke dip popcorn!
Spinach Artichoke Dip. Another of my favorites, this might be better for older kids, but it looks delicious, if you’ve got open minded kids. 🙂
Peanut Butter Lover Snack Mix. This is another salty sweet treat… looks delicious.
BBQ Pizza Bagel Bites. A little more exciting version of the frozen bagel bites. (and better for you!)
Pizza Pinwheels. I make these for my daughter for her lunch, they’re awesome.
Sweet Snack Ideas:
Tropical Chex Mix. Again, a microwave chex recipe. This brings in the delicious sweet flavors of the tropics.
Healthy Homemade Snickers Bars. Looking for something that’s sweet but still a bit healthy? These fit the bill!
M&M Popcorn Brownies. This snack mixes the best of both worlds, a little salty and a little sweet, and looks delicious!
Homemade Fruit Roll ups. I love this idea. So simple, and just a couple ingredients.
Lemon Coconut Bars. Yum. These look delicious, and you could have the kids help, or have them made ahead of time.
Donut Ice Cream Sandwiches. OMG. You might put the kids into a sugar coma, but I bet they’d love you for it! These look so fun!!
Marble Chocolate Pops. I don’t know if I’d serve these as a snack, but with a little cellophane wrapped around them they’d be a perfect treat to send home with your guests.
Oreo Popcorn. Now I never would have thought to add oreos to popcorn, but I’m ready to try it. It looks so good!
Copycat Cracker Jacks. Just like the real thing… just add your own surprise.
Peanut Butter Cheesecake Balls. Super simple, only 4 ingredients, and delicious!
Puppy Chow Snack Mix. This is a classic, and I don’t think I’ve ever made it! Great for snacking during a movie though.
Chocolate Marshmallow Treats. Just like regular rice krispie treats… but chocolate. mmm. chocolate.

I’m always looking for more snack ideas! Maybe not for slumber parties (no kids, yet) but just to have on hand at home. These are some great ideas!
