Year of Words Book Club FAQ

I’ve had quite a few question about how this whole thing works. How do I choose a book? What are the requirements for book selection? Does the word have to be in the title? So I thought I’d put together a little video to help clarify.

(short answer: there are no rules. 🙂 ) Here’s a longer answer and explanation:

FAQ

Q. Does the word have to be in the title of the book?

A. Nope. It can be, but it doesn’t have to be. It can be a theme in the book. It can be a question that’s answered by the characters journey in the book. (Ex. What is it worth to get your life back on track?) It can be in the author’s name. It doesn’t matter, there are no rules. You get to choose. Maybe one week you want to go deep for exploration, and another you want to go light for fun… either way… they both work.

Q. Do I have to read a book every week?

A. Nope. You can read as much or as little depending on the time you have and your desire to read. I do highly recommend taking at least 10 minutes a day for yourself to read a few pages. (Even if there are still dirty dishes in the sink!).

Q. Do I have to do the words in the order you do?

A. Nope. You can pick whatever word you want for whatever week you want. I will be providing book recommendations for the word I choose each week, so if you’re at a loss, or don’t have time to scour Amazon/your bookshelf for a book idea, it might be helpful to choose the same word I do. But nope, you sure don’t have to.

If you have more questions, or questions that haven’t been answered in the video or FAQ, please feel free to ask them in the comments, and I’ll do my best to answer them.
