K is for Kelly (The Take Action Wahm)

Some people, my husband included, say internet friends aren’t real, and you have to be careful of those “internet friends” because they could really be anyone, and you would never know.

I call BS on that line of thinking.

Some of my very best friends in the WHOLE world are internet friends.

Most of them I’ve actually met in person, at least once… but it took years in most cases to get to that point.

So… about Kelly,

I met Kelly years ago, through one of my first blogs (that is no longer in existence). I don’t even remember how it happened, (maybe she can fill in the blanks lol) but we started skyping, and haven’t stopped since.

Kelly has been through EVERYTHING with me! Raising a screamy spirited kiddo, hard times with the hubs, finding myself, losing some blogs, deciding to let others go. She’s helped keep my “oh I need to start a new blog for that” compulsion in check, and has helped me stay focused, and dream big.

She is my daily cheer-leading and ass kicking section. When I need someone to talk to, or push me, or brainstorm with, she’s always there… unless her internet goes out for MONTHS at a time… yeah, that was rough. Oh, did I mention she lives in Peru? Yeah, as my daughter calls her, she’s my friend Kelly who lives in Peru. 🙂 Did I happen to mention I live in Kansas? Yeah, where else but the Internet (yeah, that was my I happy place remember?!) do I have the opportunity to connect and create deep, long lasting, and meaningful friendships with people from Peru?! 🙂

Kelly runs an incredibly successful blog called The Take Action Wahm. It’s been incredible to be on our blogging journeys together and watch them grow (and fail) and grow (and have setbacks) and grow together. I’m not sure what I would have done without her all these years, but there’s definitely a possibility I may have thrown in the towel and gone and gotten a “real job”.
