How to Get Your Blog Shared 1000 Times

How to get your post shared 1000 times

It’s my goal, on this blog, to help you “level up”. Which means do a little bit better from wherever you are. There are people who read this blog who will already be implementing some of these strategies, and will be ready to get 1000 shares. There are people reading this post who are just started and would be happy to get 1 share… both are AWESOME!

This post will show you a LOT of ways you can get your content shared on social media, there are some really great ideas here. Don’t fall into the trap though, of thinking you have to do them ALL. You most certainly do not. Pick 1 or maybe two and start doing them consistently… and then come back and add another 1 or 2 to what you’ve started doing. As you start taking more and more consistent action to get your posts shared (over time) you’ll find yourself in a place where you easily get 1000 shares of your blog posts. 🙂

Without further ado…

I’ve never used dlvr.it ~ I do use coschedule which allows me to share and schedule my posts directly from my post editor ~ and the calendar in my wordpress dashboard. You can also use coschedule to share and schedule to Facebook, it really is my favorite scheduling tool, as it will schedule to everywhere, but G+ (including Pinterest!).

I also love the click to tweet… I’ve noticed an improvement in shares every time I add one to a blog post. Those two things are super simple to add to your arsenal, and will not cost you any extra time, but will definitely begin to increase your reach.

The other thing I’m always doing to get more shares is build my list. I use GetResponse for my email marketing needs.  I make sure to email my list daily with new content, as well as informative articles that will help them “level up”. I add “share buttons” at teh bottom of my emails to make sure there’s a way for people to share my newsletter as well… yet another way to get your content shared!

I’d love to hear what you choose to grab and go with from this amazing resource. Share in the comments!

  1. Thank you for such an informative post. Yes, found you on Pinterest!

My question to you is regarding e-mail lists. I’ve been blogging about 8 months. I have a very small subscriber list. My social media is growing well but difficult for subscribers. I have more on Bloglovin. Is the e-mail list separate from the subscriber list? Is it a widget for MailChimp or whatever or is it categorized under something else? Will it help with the subscriber list, too?

    New follower!

Hi Dana ~ and welcome from Pinterest!!

Yes, your email list is completely separate from everything else. Your email list allows you to send an email (on your time) straight to someone’s inbox. That is a wonderful thing and a great way to really create a relationship between yourself and your reader. I’m not all that familiar with mailchimp… but you want to have some sort of “opt in box” on your site… (like the one in the sidebar, and at the bottom of the post here) where your reader can enter their EMAIL address. It’s a deeper level of connection when you get permission to send them an email. People following you on bloglovin is awesome… and it’s still on their time table… they have to go to bloglovin, to read your posts… whereas with an email list you control when they hear from you (and what for that matter). 🙂 All right, I gotta get ready to take the kiddo to a riding lesson… make sure you watch our #blogworkshop Monday mornings at 10a central ~ it will be posted on my G+ profile. 🙂 It will definitely help you out, and Monday is Q and A day!
